Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Committee in Russia
In order to carry out market diversification and increase efforts to develope the Russian market in Chongqing, Chongqing Foreign Economic and Trade Commission set up a representative office in Moscow in August 12, 2002, and appointed Jinhua (Moscow) Co.,Ltd and Chongqing Norsen Foreign Trade Development Co., Ltd chairman Yang Guoqing as the chief representative of the representative office. Chongqing Foreign Trade Commission's reply pointed out Russian foreign representative office as permanent establishment of Chongqing Foreign Economic and Trade Commission, the domestic institution is Chongqing Norsen Foreign Trade Development Co., Ltd and overseas institution is Jinhua (Moscow) Co.,Ltd. The work scope of foreign institution will be authorized by Chongqing Foreign Economic and Trade Commission, specifically by the Foreign Economic department.
Specific duties of the representative office are responsible for trade promote among Chongqing, Russia and the former Soviet and Eastern European countries, investment, policy advice and other matters; undertake fairs, business trips and short-term training business to Russia and former Soviet countries which held by CFETC; contact the famous Russian Expos and helping Chongqing's enterprise to exhibit and sell local products; provide trade and investment information about Russia, the former Soviet Union and Eastern countries; inquire customer credit; complete other matters assigned by the leadership, etc..
The Russian representative office has set up offices in Moscow, St Petersburg, Ukraine, Kiev, providing convenience for our enterprises to open up the Russian market. In recent years, the Russian representative office sponsored or co-sponsored a number of batches of Chongqing Economic and Trade delegations to inspect the Russian market and exhibit and won the enterprises' trust and support about helping enterprises in Chongqing exhibit and sell products and hard work of looking for the suitable clients; at the same time, under the efforts of Russian representative office, St Petersburg municipal government and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government signed the "People's Republic of China Chongqing Municipal People's government and the Russian Federation municipal government of St Petersburg economic and trade friendly cooperation agreement" on April 2, 2004, so as to build a good platform for the two cities' economic and trade cooperation business. The ultimate goal is to become a bridge which all kinds of Chongqing made products can go through into Russia.
